Obituary 

Deacon Glenn “Manzie” Williams was born on February 11, 1950, in Hampton County, SC, to the late Mr. Girtie Roe Williams and Mrs. Willie Mae Coker Williams in the Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina. At an early age, he became a baptized member of the Harmonia Missionary Baptist Church. Deacon Williams served the church faithfully for several years as a member of the Junior Choir and later became ordained as Deacon in February 1994. He was a 1969 graduate of the former North District Training School, Varnville, South Carolina. He found gainful employment at Westinghouse (Nevamar), was a Volunteer Fire Fighter with the Cummings Fire Department, a member of Antioch Lodge #91, Royal Arch #31, former member of the Camp Branch Community Club and an avid baseball player. 

During his life’s journey, he married his wife, Teresa Hill Williams, in 1972, and three children were born to this union. 

“Manzie”, as he was a ectionately known by his family and friends, is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Edward Williams, Leroy Williams and Amos Williams. 

On Monday, September 11, 2017, Manzie transitioned into eternal rest. 

Along with his wife, Teresa Hill Williams of Cummings, SC, he leaves to cherish his memories and legacy his three children: two sons, Korey Williams of Orangeburg, SC, and Desmond Williams of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Marvette (Cairo) Mitchell of Simpsonville, SC; ve grandchildren, Davon Williams, Cherylana Williams, Zavier Williams, Yasmine Mitchell and Cairo Mitchell, Jr.; one step- grandchild, Rhyonna; one great-grandchild, Kennedi Williams; one sister, Charlotte Williams; two brothers, eodore Williams and Lenn Williams, his twin, all of Camp Branch Community, SC; four sisters- in-law, Mary Williams of Varnville, SC, Oderia Hill, Cynthia Hill and Terrie Hill all of Cummings, SC, and Marion Williams; three brothers-in-law, Nate Davis of Wilmington, DE, John (Eva) Williams of Orangeburg, SC, and Rondy (Bernice) Hill of Hampton, SC; and several caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including two special friends, Emmanuel Henderson and William Don
