Mrs. Bessie Mae Reese was born daughter of  the late Mr. Clifford Ruth and Mrs. Mary Lou Bowles Ruth was born in Hampton County July 16, 1944 . At an early age she received her education in the public schools of Hampton County and Pennsylvania.
 
Mother Reese  was a member of St. James Holiness Church Estill,South Carolina where she served faithfully with the Usher and Missionary Boards. She loved the Lord, helping others, and preparing meals for neighbors throughout the  community.  Mother Bessie enjoyed spending time with family and in her leisure she enjoyed shopping. 

She was married to James Reese Sr. and  this union was blessed with four children. A son, Anthony “Bamp”' Reese  has preceded her in death.

Our Heavenly Father called her to rest, September 4, 2017 in Estill, South Carolina at the  residence of her daughter.


Survivors include:Son, James( Marie) Reese ,Allendale, South Carolina;Daughters: April (Marcus )Smalls, Yemassee, South Carolina, and  Joyce Reese Estill , South Carolina; 
Brothers:Roosevelt (Diane) Reid,San Bernardino California, and Minister Peter(Ann)Bowles, North Carolina, Sister; Mary Louise Ruth, Hampton, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren ,1 great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
