David Anderson Obituary

I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteous- ness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day.2 Timothy 4:7-8
David Eli Anderson was born on October 26, 1970 to the late Mr. Robert Stukes, Sr. and Maebell “Naa-Naa” Anderson in Hampton County, South Car- olina. David was the youngest of three siblings, who were reared by his mother in Yemassee, SC. He received his former education at Fennell Elementary School in Yemassee, SC and later graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1989.
David, affectionately known as “Hammer”, developed a love and had an exceptional talent for car detailing with the hope of one day owning a shop inclusive of car sales.
He later turned his attention to landscaping, where he was an exceptional and dedicated worker for three years with the Town of Allendale. Everyone in Allendale referred to him as the “Smiling Man on the Lawn Mower”.
To know David was to love him. He was a caring soul, who never met a stranger. Once you made contact with him you became his life long friend. David was the life of the party especially at every family gathering with his immense love for dancing. His award winning smile has departed  from our presence, but it will be forever engraved in our hearts.

David is preceded in death by three brothers: Matthew Brown, Jeffrey Brown, and Doug Stukes; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jesse M. Hill.
In July 2016, he danced his way into the heart of the love of his life, Ms. Denise Williams. Their love flourished until he transitioned home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2019.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: a loving wife, Denise Anderson of the home; two step-children, Quion (Danielle) Ferone, and Taleija (Nijel) Hill; six sisters, Linda (Authur) McWilliams of Beaufort, SC, Darlene (Alfonso) Brown, Sheryl Rochelle, Janice Foster, Elnora (Eddie) Locklair and Paulette Ashby, all of Yemassee, SC; one brother, Robert Stukes, Jr. of New York; his father-in-law, Mr. John L. Hill of Varnville, SC; a special aunt, Daisy (Goody) Anderson, a special cousin, Sharon Drayton; reared as his own, Alexis James; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
