    Karen Frederick Drain, the daughter of the Mrs. Irene Frederick Jordan and the late Mr. Edward Johnson, Sr. was born on September 20, 1967 in Allendale County, South Carolina.  She was a faithful member of the Greater Cherry Christian Church, under the leadership her beloved Pastor Johnny O. Smalls and First Lady Faye Smalls. Karen was a member of the Inspirational Choir, and served as State President and the secretary of the Usher Board. She attended the public schools of Allendale County and furthered her education at Delaware Technical College, Dover, Delware, where she received her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Fire Safety and Precautions.  Karen later relocated back to South Carolina, resided with her grandmother the late Mrs. Rever Frederick and was employed as a CNA at John F. Harter Nursing Center, Fairfax, SC and Pruitt Health Care Center, Estill, SC. “Wee Wee” as she was affectionally called, loved her family and enjoyed caring for others.  She had a gift for writing poems and speaking at various engagements.  Karen loved praising the Lord and was an avid fisherman. She was married into holy matrimony to Mr. Freddie Drain, Sr. 
    Karen is preceded in death by her father, Edward Johnson, Sr., step-father, John Jordan, and maternal and paternal grandparents. “Wee Wee” departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
    Karen leaves to cherish fond memories: loving husband, Freddie Drain,Sr, of the home; two daughters, Shameka Frederick, Allendale, SC and Jasmine Frederick, Fairfax, SC. Two sons: Freddie Drain, Jr., Barnwell, SC, Jamison Drain, Columbia, SC. A loving mother, Irene F. Jordan of the home, A grandson: Aries Drain, Blackville, SC, and Jasmine’s soon to be bundle of joy (grandson #2). Four sisters: Shirley (Ronnie) Capers, Varnville, SC, Stephanie Johnson, Allendale, SC, Angela (Charles) Rowe, Lithonia, GA, and Ruth A. Johnson, New York, NY.  Six step sisters: Barbara (Tommy Lee) Charlton, Barnwell, SC, Gloria Ann (Frankie) Robinson, Gifford, SC, Judy (Charles) Charlton, Patricia Albany, and Richardine Williams, all of Allendale, SC, Maple Jordan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Four brothers: Phil Johnson, Allendale, SC, Link and Edward Johnson, both of New York, NY.  Reared as brothers: Mario Farmer and Christopher Frederick, both of Goldsburg, NC.  Two step bothers: James (Harriett) Jordan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Johnny Jordan, Allendale, SC.  Four sisters in law: Hattie (Chuck) Brabham, Beverly Drain, all of Smoaks, SC; Rose Lee Edwards and Joann Drain, both of Walterboro, SC.  Three brothers in law: Ervin Drain, Jr., Charleston, SC, Bishop Nathaniel Drain, Walterboro, SC and Pastor Sam Drain, Bowman, SC. A devoted leader and mentor, Deacon Leversia Loadholt, Hampton, SC.  Twenty-seven loving nieces and nephews, a host of special and loving cousins and sympathizing friends and a devoted friend of 25 years, Timothy Williams, Jr., Hampton, SC.
