From his birth in Brooklyn, N.Y., on February 16, 1988 to death, he inspired people around him with love, encouragement, kindness and faith. “Smokey”, as known to many was a very fun, loving, unprejudiced soul given by God to us. His love for the arts, music production and sports were some of his greatest attributes in life. “Smokey’s” athleticism as a young boy was impeccable in the game of soccer. Smokey’s eyes drew the attention of many who would come in contact with him and it would somehow cause him to receive gracious favors from everyone he met. “Smokey” had an uncanny ability to brighten an atmosphere and cause laughter in every room that he entered. His dream for musical success was often declared in many conversations, and his desire to translate his inner thoughts was exemplified through his artistic ability to put words into song. “Smokey” was known to many for his handsome looks, crafty words and stories that would magnetize all of those who would listen. Even though he overcame many trials and obstacles, “Smokey” received his GED in 2008 and rendered three beautiful souls (children) that exemplify his handsomeness and physical attributes. “Smokey” was especially loved by His mother Gwen Bampfield who adopted him and his sister Tawana at a very young age. Gwen cared, loved and embraced Smokey with her whole heart. It is not the length of time that makes an impact, but rather the impact that is made in time. “Smokey” will be truly missed by all those who knew him and loved him!
