Lorie Green

Lorie (Lora) Jane Green was born on April 26, 1944 to the late Mr. John Percy Johnson and Mrs. Minnie Hay Johnson in Hampton County, South Carolina.
At an early age, she joined Greater Cherry Grove Disciples of Christ and later became a member of United Love Christian Disciples of Christ. Lora served on the Hospitality Committee and sang with the choir.
Lora was employed for many years at the former Hampton General Hospital, now the Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.
She was an avid fisherman, a loving Mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, whose presence will truly be missed.
Lora was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Otis Green, Sr; two sisters, Sarah Moore and Gladys M. Sanders; along with two brothers, John E. Johnson and Robert Johnson.
She departed this life on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Roper Hospi- tal in Charleston, South Carolina, when our heavenly father called her home to rest.
Lora leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Otis (Mary) Green, Jr., Bernard (Cora Lin) Green, Lora Green and Dorley Harris; sisters, Dorothy Louise (Bishop Leroy) Williams and Elease Glover; brothers-in-laws, Johnnie Moore, Sr., and Jerry Sanders; sisters-in-laws, Mary Johnson, Callie Lou Johnson and Willien Williams; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, including two special and devoted nephews, Johnnie Lee Johnson and Leonard Johnson, cousins , other relatives and sorrowing friends.
