Mary Jane Bennett, the daughter of the late Mr. Joe and Lucinda Moore was born February 14, 1945 in Hampton County, SC.  At an early age, she joined Huspah Missionary Baptist  Church and attended North District Training School in Varnville, SC. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Joe Francis Bennett on February 4, 1962 and relocated to Brooklyn, NY.  Mary was employed as a homeware assistant at United Home Care Services, Brooklyn, NY.

Mary  is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Derek Lathane Bennett, two sisters, Lucinda Bowles, Alma Hagood, four brothers, Morris Moore, Jan Moore, John Moore and Bobby Moore.

Our heavenly father called her from labor to reward on December 25, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Mary Jane leaves to cherish her fond memories: two sons: Darryl Leonard Bennett of the home and Joe Francis Bennett, Jr, Louisville, KY; two daughters: Renee Ezet Bennett, Fayetteville, NC and Patricia Ann (Uton) Anderson, Long Island, NY.; Nine grandchildren: Shante Renee Kelly, Derek Tokey English, Anthony Lathane Bennett, Iton Anderson, Darryl Bennett, Jr., Jahton Anderson, Derius Anderson, Jah’derra Wright, Octavia Bennett. Nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Bobbie (Haiston) Priester and Christine Gooding; a brother: Billy (Inez) Moore,brother-in-law; Deacon James Hagood, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
