Mr. Miller C. Rivers, the son of the late Jacob Rivers, Sr. and Edna Crosson Rivers was born on June 9, 1941 in Hampton, South Carolina.  He departed this life on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Pruitt Health, Estill, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hampton, SC and remained an active member until his health failed.
He attended the public schools of Hampton County and graduated from North District Training School in Varnville, SC  in 1961. He also attended South Carolina Area Trade School (Denmark Technical College) in Denmark, SC and graduated in plastering in 1963.  He worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, International Paper Company, and Nevamar Company of Hampton, SC and retired after 38 years of service in 2003.

He leaves to adore and cherish memories of him: two sisters: Sarah Francis Williams and Johnnie R. (Lenon) Brooker of Hampton, SC; an aunt, Juanita Glover; and an uncle, George Crosson (Edna), all of Varnville, SC; two nieces: Letitia (Wayne) Muzon of Charlotte, NC and Natalia (Michael) Price of Raleigh, NC;  four nephews: Wayne Williams, Hampton, SC; Dr. Robert Walker, Evans, GA; Sidnard (Cynthia) Williams, Barnwell, SC; and Minister Leonardo (Owillinda) Brooker, Aiken, SC; six grand nieces, four grand nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
