Mother Sarah Cope Loadholt

Mother Sarah Mae Cope Loadholt was born January 31, 1928, to the late Elder Doc and Eva Platts Cope in Hampton County. At an early age, she joined Cherry Grove Christian Church and received her education in the public schools of Hampton County.

Sarah was married to the late George Loadholt, Jr.; to this union eight Sarah was employed by the former Gemco of Hampton for
numerous years. She later provided childcare and housekeeping services within Hampton County.
Mother Sarah left this life to return to the open arms of her Creator on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents and three children: Horace, Loretta, and Stephen.
Sarah leaves to cherish fond memories: three daughters, Margaret L. Orr, Carolyn L. (Joseph) Roberts, and Shirley L. Walker; two sons, J. Bernard (Ozella) Loadholt of Hampton, South Carolina, and Herman (Joyce) Loadholt Sr.; of Allendale, South Carolina; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
