Alfred ''Tennie" Dobson

Alfred (Teenie) Dobson was born to the late R.C. Dobson, Sr. and Geneva (Cotee) Dobson on June 6, 1951. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in the home of his daughter Adra in Allendale, South Carolina. In his final days, he was constantly surrounded by his children, siblings, nieces and nephews.

He was educated in Estill public schools. He was employed by the South Carolina Department of Transportation for many years. He also enjoyed working in construction with his uncle T.O. Miller in North Carolina.  In later years, he decided to get his CDL and purchase his own truck and became self-employed.  

He was preceded in death by four of his siblings. Cynthia Dobson, Willie F. Best, Ernest Williams and Minnie P. Jackson.

He was a family man and he enjoyed being with them.

He was married to the late Anna Dora Dobson.  To this union five (5) beautiful children were born.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories three daughters: Adra Maria (Ronald) Roberts, Shawntina (Trelvis) Miller and Cassandra Patrice (Alfred) Glover and two sons:  Alfred (Mikquler Brantley), Dobson Jr. and Virgil (Tamekia) Johnson. He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and three great-grands.

His seven remaining siblings will forever cherish his memories.  John Dobson, Catherine (Oscar Miller) Dobson, Betty Mixson, R.C. (Hettie) Dobson, Evelyn (Leon) Scott, Loretta (Kenneth) Darien and Rose (Eric) Green. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
