Arthur Lee O’Banner Jr, the son of the late Arthur Lee O’ Banner, Sr and Ann Mae Johnson was born on March 26, 1955 in Cummings, South Carolina. Surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 66, Arthur passed from labor to reward on Monday, September 14, 2021. He was joined in holy matrimony to Diane Rivers.
At an early age, Arthur joined and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Early Branch, SC, and later became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church of Fairfax, SC. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard. Arthur also held positions at Georgia Pacific and South Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT).Arthur is preceded in death and will be greeted in heaven by his parents; brother, Willie O’Banner and brother-in-law, Ricky Orr.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife, Diane, of the home; six children, Jermaine Patterson (Jah), of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer King, of Savannah, GA, Frederick O’Banner (Asia), of Charlotte, NC, Arthur Lee O’Banner III (Sarah), of Fort Mill, SC, Letisha White (Marquise), of Rock Hill, SC, and Aquanza Kirkland, of Greenville, SC; eight brothers, Thomas O’Banner (Gloria), Shine O’Banner (Peggy), Jake O’Banner (Rose), Franklin O’Banner, Cecil O’Banner (Chelsa), Willie O’Banner (Nia), Hank O’Banner and Jimmy O’ Banner; seven sisters, Anne Lee Washington, Brulah O’Banner, Francina Harvey, Brenda Lee O’Banner, Barbara Jean O’Banner, Samantha Wright, and Tonya O’Banner. His life was highlighted by seven loving grandchildren, Elijah Patterson (wife, Kiana & daughter, Kalani), Kiara Patterson (daughter, Kiki), Kannadee Holmes, Angel, Elijah, Caleb O’Banner, and Simone White; special cousin, Johnnie Bryson, special friend, Dougie Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews, who addressed him as “Uncle Dill”. At every event, most memorable was his warm and caring heart with each of them.
