The Obituary Cynthia Juanita Smith-Frazier, daughter of the late Geneva Smith and Clarence Cuyler, was born on November 28, 1969 in Hampton, South Carolina. She attended Huspah Baptist Church in Hampton, South Carolina, and received her education in the Hampton County public school system. She was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School “Class of 1988” and furthered her studies in Cosmetology from the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. She served in the United States Army. Cynthia was later employed as a Correctional Ofcer with the Allendale Correctional Institution (ACI), a Security Guard for Wackenhut, and a Manager at Exxon, Hampton, South Carolina.
In 2019, she was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Jeris Frazier. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Barbara Smith. Cynthia departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: her devoted husband, Jeris Frazier of the home; stepfather, James “Bubba” Kelly, Jr; sisters, Denise Williams, of Boston MA, Yolanda Cuylear, of Brooklyn, NY, LaTonya (Gregory) Brown, of Queens, NY, Tiffany Cuylear (Terrell) Brooks-McEachern, of Brooklyn, NY, Keisha Jefferies-El, of Atlanta, GA, and Chanice Cuyler, of Bowman, SC; sister-in-law, Felicia Frazier; aunts, Juanita Woods, Mary Mikell, and Martha Johnson, all of Hampton, SC; Marie S. Rhett (Thomas), of Newport News, VA; uncles, John Paul Williams and Thomas Smith; great aunts, Alice Scott and Ms. Polly Bryant; god-daughter, Brittany Warren, of Newport News, VA; special friend, Fatimah Jefferies-EL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
