Deacon Jerry Sanders Jr.

Jerry Sanders, Jr, affectionately known by family members as “Bubba” was born on June 21, 1945 in Hampton County, South Carolina to the late Jerry Sanders, Sr and Irene Sanders.
He was educated in the Hampton County public school of system. In his early years, Jerry was married to the late Gladys Johnson Sanders, and they were blessed with three loving children.
At a young age, Jerry joined Huspah Baptist Church. In 2013, he was awarded Usher of the Year. In later years, Jerry be-came an ordained Deacon, a position which he faithfully served until his illness.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, sister, daughter, granddaughter and his children’s mother, the late Gladys Johnson Sanders.
He leaves a loving and devoted wife of the home, Annie Lee Sanders, of Gifford, SC; daughter, Gloria Sanders, of Miami, FL; two step-daughters, Victoria Williams, of Gifford, SC and Lakeisa Green (Leander), of Varnville, SC; son, Jerry Sanders, III, of Miami, FL; four grands reared in the home, Shante Kennedy, Lirhanda Sanders, Felicia Sanders and Yolanda Sanders; sister, Mary Smith (James), of Lakeland, FL; two brothers, Willie Sanders (Clarize), of Varnville, SC and Bernie Sanders (Patricia), of Warner Robbins, GA; aunt, Dorothy Owens, of Brunson, SC; two cousins reared in the home, Josephine Hall (Julius), of Savannah, GA and Caesar Owens, of Varnville, SC; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; son-in-law, Lamel White, of Hampton, SC; eight grands; thirteen great-grands; devoted friends, Albert Butler, Mary Mikell, Jake Taylor, John Gadson, Thomas Jordon and LaSharon Badger. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and loving friends.
