Earl Young

Brother Earl Young was born the son of the late Maebell Bostick Young and Jessie Young, Sr., in Allendale County, on May 7, 1962. He received his education at Wade Hampton High School. At an early age, Earl accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church. Earl was employed with BSRI Construction, Local Union #515 of SRS, and a staff member of Riley’s Funeral Home Hampton Chapel. During his leisure, he enjoyed telling jokes, landscaping, barbering, and playing basketball. Earl is preceded in death by his loving parents and siblings.

Earl entered into his new life on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Earl leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Latavia Davis of Early Branch, SC; son, Lorenzo (Kisha) Brown of Swansea, SC; sisters, Diane Jones of Hampton, SC, Ruby (Ricky) Gray of Fairfax, SC, Shirley (Stevie) Cartledge of Martin, SC, Evetta (Kyle) Koiner of Brooklyn, NY, Sharon Coleman of Lancaster, SC, and Sylvia (James) Badger, Jr., and Mattie Lee Washington, both of Fairfax, SC; brothers, Darryl Young, and Willie Young, both of Fairfax, SC, and Michael (Kavonda) Bostick of Savannah, GA; a special nephew who was reared in the home, Mark (Monique) Young; grandchildren, Ryan, Kayden, Jacarri, Jamari, Patience, Parris, Paisley, and Lorenzo, Jr.; aunts, Catherine (Herman Lee) Thomas, and Evangelist Ellen Coker, both of Brooklyn, NY, Roberta Danials of Pinebluff, AR, Earline Turner of Boynton Beach, FL, and Melvie Bostick of Furman, SC; a devoted friend, Shirley Gillison; dear friend, Ronnie Smith; close cousin, Herbert Lee Thomas; friends, Jimmy Holmes, Anthony Law, Dewayne Smith, Mannie Smart, and Alfred Williams; and a host of family, nephews, nieces, and more sympathetic friends.
