Elder William "Bill" Davis

Elder William Henry Davis “Bill”, was born February 8, 1941 to the late Mr. Dan Davis, Sr and Mrs. Credell Miley Davis, in Miley, South Carolina. On Monday, September 13, 2021, our Lord and Savior summoned Elder Davis home to eternal rest.
He was educated in the Hampton County public school system.
At an early age, Bill joined Cherry Grove Church before relocating to New York. Upon returning to South Carolina, “Bill” as he was affection- ately called, served as a faithful Elder of the Greater Cherry Grove Christian Church, Brunson, South Carolina. He was a devoted member of the Mount Olive Lodge #466, Rising Star #359 OES, Hampton, South Carolina.
Elder Davis was a dedicated employee of Allendale County Hospital for over 40 years and a faithful servant within his community.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Ozela Davis; brothers, Charlie Davis and Dan Davis, Jr; and sister, Dorothy Murdaugh.
Bill leaves to cherish fond memories, a loving wife, Betty Davis, of the home; son, Lamont Frederick, of Statesboro, GA; step-son, Malik Forester (Kwanza), of Fairfax, SC; step-daughters, Alicia Boone-Tutt (Omar), Paula Boone, both of New Jersey, and Sharon Boone, of Fairfax, SC; sisters, Deacon Ruth Davis, Deacon Hattie Folk and Polly Moore, all of Hampton, SC; brother-in-law, John Deloach (Lois), of Fairfax, SC, and sisters in law, Idella Smith-Bynum (Bill), of Atlanta, GA; Ethel Davis, Varnville,SC,  a devoted family friend, Deacon Janice Rice; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
