Mr. Joseph Allen Kinard was born on June 10, 1962, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Leahmon and Maude Kinard. He entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Joseph was educated in the public schools of Colleton County , where he was a graduate of Ruffin High School. Joseph worked in the logging industry for the better part of his life. He loved the outdoors and told stories about his work day to anyone that would listen.
On June 10, 1996, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Gloria Kinard of Miley, South Carolina. Joseph was a wonderful father figure and loved her children as his own. He enjoyed weekend visits to see their grandkids in Georgia, and spending time with family and friends. He loved reading his bible and spending time outdoors.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leahmon Kinard Jr., and Roscoe Kinard; and sisters, Carolyn Goff, Sally Yates and Lillie Kinard Joseph.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memories; a devoted wife, Gloria Kinard; his children, Lorenzo (Renee) Sanders, of Ellabell, GA, Shawntee’ (Glen) Benskin, of Hampton, SC and Kawandra Haynes ,of New Orleans; grandchildren, K’shaun (Main Man), Traivaun (Buddy), Raquon, Kizzie, Daitraun (Tight Man), Jaquan (Sport), Lorencia (Precious), Ahmad (Snotbox), Ariana (Princess) and Amara (Queen); great-grand, Remy Malik; brothers, Willie Kinard, of Walterboro, SC and Michael (Mary) Kinard, of Hampton, SC; sisters, Florrie (Alvin) Behlin, of Walterboro, SC and Anna Major, of Hampton, SC; brothers-in-law, George Loadholt, of Varnville, SC, Benjamin (Clementine) Sanders, of Andrews, SC and Gary Joseph, of Walterboro, SC; sisters-in-law, Betty (Leroy) Gantt, of Varnville, SC, Helen Varner, of Cocoa, FL and Anita (Robert) Butler, of North Miami, FL; his spiritual parents, Elder Henry (Janice) Whitlock, of Varnville, SC; devoted friends, William Kelly, Joseph Robinson and Irvin James; and a special cousin, Rodney Henderson.
