Joyce Miley

Ms. Joyce Miley was born the daughter of the late Millie T. Miley and the late Susie Monroe Miley January 10, 1952 at the Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn,N.Y. She passed away June 11,2022 at MUSC in Charleston,SC. Joyce attended Clara Barton High School. Upon graduating, she would become employed with  the Kings County Hospital as an administrative assistant. Joyce’s determination would allow her to advance to the position of lead supervisor, and later office manager. After 40 years of service to the hospital, Joyce retired and returned home to South Carolina  where she   lived the remainder of her contented life .She is preceded in death by five brothers;Daniel, David, Kenneth, Ronald, and Wille and a sister, Ellen.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her only son, Christopher Lawrence Sutton, Brooklyn, New York, grandchildren Chris Jr, Jackie, Marcus, and Keisha; Her siblings: Sister Laurette, Varnville and Phyllis of Bronx, N.Y.,brothers: Donald of Queens,NY,  and Jeffrey of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law;Rich of New NY; Sisters-in-law, Angela of Queens, NY, and Millie of Brooklyn, NY.,and a loving host of nieces, nephews,  cousins, relatives and friends. Special recognition to her former Kings County co workers and her best friend, Judy who showed love to Joyce and held her dear to their hearts. like her family.
