Little Master Owen Messiah Fields was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 9th, 2018, to Derrick Fields and Christian Gordon. At the precious age of 3, he attended Davis Early Learning Center in Seabrook, SC. Owen will affectionately be remembered as happy, quiet, smart and sweet.
Owen loved to collect change. He would find it and hold onto it in his little hands. He carried it everywhere and would never put it down. He tried washing with it. He even tried sleeping with it. Owen’s love for coins is one of many fond memories that the family will hold onto.
On Thursday, February 10th, 2022, Owen made his peaceful transition at Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Derrick Fields, Allendale, SC; mother, Christian Gordon, Beaufort, SC; sister, Cailyn Fields and brothers, De’Andre Fields of the home; and Zy’Kvion Fields, Barnwell, SC; paternal grandparents, Bobbie Jean and John Fields, Gifford, SC; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Patricia Gordon, Varnville, SC; three aunts, Stacy Taylor, Gifford, SC; K’neatha (Kendrick) Williams, Irmo, SC; May Taylor, Spartanburg, SC; five uncles, Brock Taylor, Luray, SC; Gerald Gordon, Jr., Charlotte, NC; Jeremy Gordon, Baltimore, MD; John Fields, Jr., Leesville, SC; Daniel Gordon, Spartanburg, SC; (15) first cousins, Janayddiah Taylor, Tyshawn Mitchell, Brock Taylor, Jr., Jasmine Duncan, Brodrick Taylor, Andrew Woodard, Trenasia Duncan, Trency Duncan, Jr., Anthony Williams, John Clinton Fields III, Kayleigh Fields, K’niya Williams, Cameron Gordon, Malakye Fields, and Kyriq Williams; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and special family friends.
