Lucy “Pimp” Riley Bethune

Lucy Bethune was born on September 12, 1935, in Allendale County, South Carolina, to the late Ernest Robinson and Pauline Riley-Priester. On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, she departed this earthly life to be with our heavenly Father in Glory.
Lucy was educated in the Allendale County public school system. She graduated from Fairfax Training School in 1956 and moved to Pennsylvania, where she resided for over forty years, before relocating to back to South Carolina.
Lucy Bethune was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Bethune and her beautiful daughter, Cathy Guild.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: five grandchildren, Chario Riley, Torrie (Marcus) Morris, both of Rock Hill, SC, Nicholas Riley, Sharonda Guild and Eddie Guild, all of Columbia, SC; one brother, Brookie Priester of Brunson, SC; one sister, Fannie M. Badger of Martin, SC; a special niece, Georgia Smart; six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
