A TIME TO BE BORN: Mary was born the daughter of the late Mr. Eugene Hay and Mrs. Mary Frances Lightsey Hay, in Hampton County, South Carolina, on October 31, 1961.
A TIME TO PLANT: She received her education in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina. At an early age, she joined Greater Cherry Grove (DOC), Varnville, South Carolina.
A TIME TO BUILD UP: Mary was a former dispatcher for Hampton County and a caregiver for her mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gene Lanier Hay.
A TIME TO DIE: Our Heavenly Father called her from labor to reward on November 18, 2020, at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, South Carolina.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: one devoted and loving daughter, Karen Haye of Aiken, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Kaveon Gill, Caleb Hay, and Canaan Hay; four siblings, Shirley Hay, Hampton, South Carolina, Marvin (Gloria Jean) Hay of Fairfax, South Carolina, Brenda Hay of Hampton, South Carolina, and Jimmie (Cynthia) Hay of Hampton, South Carolina; a great uncle, Deacon Joe (Sena Mae) Buckner of Hampton, South Carolina; a great aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Joyner of Paterson, New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends
