Mrs. Rosena Lingard was born on April 2, 1931 to the late Francena Moore. She was the youngest of three children and the only daughter.
Mrs. Rosena was educated in the South Carolina public school system. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Antioch Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Varnville, South Carolina.
On May 25, 1948, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Richmond Lingard, II, and to this union, four children were born.
Upon moving to St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Rosena became employed at the Mary-Ryder Home for many years, until her retirement. She found a church home in St. Louis until she re-located back to South Carolina in 1989, to be close to her mother and brothers. Mrs. Rosena reunited with Antioch Christian Church upon her return.
Mrs. Rosena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richmond Lingard II, along with her mother, Mrs. Francena Moore, son, Levender “Sonny” Moore, daughter, Debra “Ann” Capers, three great-grandchildren, Jazmin Collins, Douglas Collins and Jeremiah Drayton.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: three loving children; Raymond (Ella) Lingard, Rose Banks and Richmond (Anjie) Lingard; sixteen grand- children; a host of great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
