Nicholas O’Brian Jones entered into this life on July 18, 1986, in Beaufort County, South Carolina, born to Tony Newton and Tracy Jones (Patrick, Sr.) Lawyer. Nicholas’s deep love for the one and only true God, “Jehovah”, was a motivating factor in his decision to dedicate his life through baptism in becoming a Jehovah’s Witness on September 21, 2014.

“Our Nicholas” attended Beaufort County Schools and Jasper County Schools, where he spent part of his time in the Special Olympics Bowling. Nick was employed with the Jasper and Hampton Board of Disabilities and Special Needs since 2004. He enjoyed going out in field service (ministry), playing basketball, bowling, and air hockey. Nick loved being around anyone he came in contact with no matter who they were.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Smith. On January 5, 2019, “our Nicholas” closed his eyes to rest.

Nicholas leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Tony Newton; mother, Tracy Jones (Patrick, Sr.) Lawyer of Hardeville, South Carolina; siblings, Patrick (Samantha) Lawyer, Jr., of Indiana, Antonio Lawyer of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gabrielle Lawyer of Greenwood, South Carolina; maternal grandmother, Mary L. Jones of Hampton, South Carolina; four nephews; two nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, and loving family friends.
