Brother Otto Alls, son of the late Wesley Alls, Sr., and Arrie Alls was born in Hampton County, South Carolina on June 6, 1944. He attended and graduated from North District Training School in Varnville, South Carolina. Brother Alls was a member of Antioch Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where he served as an Usher.
Otto worked as a construction supervisor for Lee’s Construction in Hardeeville, South Carolina until retiring and becoming everyone’s handy man. He enjoyed watching oldie’s western movies, baseball and football in his spare time. Everyone he met was his cousin or became his cousin. There was never a dull moment, because he loved people.
Brother Otto answered the heavenly call on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a loving companion, Marie Harley Rivers, of the home; son, Lee Andrews Harley (Vanessa), of Varnville, SC; three daughters, Millicent Alls, of Savannah, GA, Yamanika (Nika) Alston, of Ridgeland, SC and Sasha Alls, of Hampton, SC; two stepsons, Danon Bennett (Inez), of Savannah, GA and Chris Williams (daughter), of Atlanta, GA, Scott Bennett, of Savannah, GA; an inseparable brother, John Wesley Sr. (JW) (Susan), of Ruffin, SC, Art Alexander (Juliett), of Varnville, SC, Arrie Dickerson (Sam), of Columbia, SC; a very close brother-in-law, Charles Drake (Alma), of Hampton, SC, Lechard Murdaugh, of Brunson, SC, Robert Harley (Evang. In My Heart
I thought of you today,
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday.
And days before that, too,
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
Now all I have are memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I’ll never part,
God has you in his keeping
I have you in my heart.
Love,
Marie
