Pernell Dunbar

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. Thessalonians 4:13-14 Pernell Dunbar of Varnville, SC was called from earth to eternal rest on July 21, 2021.
 On June 6, 1944 the Lord blessed the late Mrs. Mary Lee and Dea. Richard Dunbar Sr. with a healthy baby boy whom they named Pernell. He was a graduate of the former North District Training School of Varnville, SC. He met and married the love of his life Sadie L. Davis on June 12, 1971 and to this union one (1) child was born Kevin Dunbar, Sr. He was a member of Antioch Lodge #91, Antioch Court #31 and Past Grand Joshua of the Heroines of Jericho.
Pernell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sadie L. Dunbar; one (1) son Kevin Dunbar Sr. (Candace); one (1) sister Janett D. Sutton of Varnville, South Carolina; two (2) sister-in laws Mrs. Willett Dunbar of Hampton, SC and Mrs. Mary Ann Dunbar of Jacksonville, Florida; two (2) grandchildren Kevin Dunbar Jr & Kasha Dunbar both of Varnville, South Carolina.  A friend who, was more like a brother Mr. Willard Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and other sympathizing friends.
