Sheila Lawton

Shelia was born January 22, 1962 in Hampton County, South Carolina to Mr. John Gooding, Sr., and the late Ms. Roslyn “Ricky” Bowers. She received her education in the public schools of Hampton County and was a graduate of WHHS 1979.Sheliai  is   preceded in death by her mother and brother, Christopher Gooding. Our heavenly father called her to rest February 28, 2020, at MUSC, Charleston, South Carolina.
Cherishing her loving memory are: three children, Takera “Princess” (Lee) Williams, Carlton Allen, and Mario Allen; her beloved father, John Gooding, Sr.; five sisters, Eartha Bennett, Debra Ann (Jermaine) Williams, Melissa C. (Derrick) Hayes, Samantha (William) Newton, and Stacy (David) Weston; three brothers, Allen Bowers, John (Michelle) Gooding, Jr., and Kendrick Davis; aunt, Debbie Pace of Silver Springs, MD; great-aunts, Carrie McTeer of Fairfax SC and Gertrude Bell of Detroit, MI; great-uncle, Joseph Allen of Queens, NY; six grandchildren; a host of cousins, including devoted cousin, Loretta (Thomas) Lawton; a host of other relatives and caring friends, including two devoted friends, Annie Rice and Elaine Webb
