Vonda Mae Early was born in Hampton, SC, on May 13, 1957, to the late Dea. Henry Early and Sis. Callie G. Early. She received her education in the public schools of Hampton County. She was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. She later furthered her studies at South Carolina State College, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Vonda enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 12, 1982, and faithfully served until her retirement on August 31, 2002. Vonda was a Persian Gulf War veteran in 1991 (Bahrain). Her decorations include: Air Force Achievement, Commendation, Conduct, National Defense, and Humanitarian Service Medals. In addition to, the Air Force Training, NCO Professional, Military Education and Overseas Long Tour Ribbons, Longevity Service, Air Force Excellence Organizational Excellence, and Outstanding Unit Awards.Vonda was currently employed by Agile Defense, Maxwell AFB, Montgomery,Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Orrin Early.Vonda entered Heaven’s gates to be with our Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Baptist East Medical Center, Montgomery, Alabama.
To celebrate her life with loving memories are: Avery (Jackie) Early of Varnville, South Carolina, Sabrina Early C. (Terry Cofer), of Aiken, South Carolina, and Trini Early-Ware (Kendall Ware), of Austin, Texas; seven aunts, Bessie Grimes, of Varnville, South Carolina, Henrietta Walker, of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, Dorothy Brown, of Brooklyn, New York, Geneva Davis (George), of Bamberg, South Carolina, Bernice Early, of Detroit, Michigan, Cynthia Early, of Hampton, South Carolina, and Irma Grimes, of Charleston, South Carolina; five nieces and nephews, Talvon Early, of Atlanta, Georgia, Shatara Early, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Shane Brantlely, of Varnville, South Carolina, Jomoi Ware, of Austin, Texas, and Ja’Nya Ware, of Austin, Texas; a dedicated and caring next-door neighbor, Bettye Greaves, of Montgomery, Alabama; and a host of loving great-nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, caring co-workers, and friends.
