William Collins

Mr. William Collins, son of the late Richard and Millie Collins

was born on April 1, 1932 in Varnville , South Carolina. Early

in life, Willie was united in holy matrimony to Lois Green

Collins and this union was blessed with nine children.

William, affectionately known as “Dagger” was a very kind

hearted and fun loving person to everyone who knew him.

William departed this earthly life, at the Glenvue Nursing

Center, Glennville, Georgia on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 6:00

in the evening.

In addition to his wife and parents, He was preceded in death

by his siblings and four children.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: five children, Mrs. Hazel

Ann Warren, of Walterboro, SC, Mr. Willie Collins, of

Hinesville, GA, Mrs. Sharlene Scott, of Statesboro, GA, Mrs.

Lois Ann Wright, of Varnville, SC, and Mr. William Collins Jr,

of Richmond, VA; two sisters-in- law, Margaret Collins and

Ella B. Collins, both Varnville, SC; two daughters-in-law,

Verline Collins, of Brunson, SC and Angie Collins, of Fairfax,

SC; son-in-law, Edward Scott, of Statesboro, GA; (22)

grandchildren; (13) great-grandchildren; and a host of

nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
