Sister Rosa Bell Brown was born on June 27, 1945 in Allendale County, South Carolina, to the late Bro. John Earl Williams, Sr. and Sis. Pearline Owens-Williams. She received her education in the public schools of Allendale County. At an early age, Rosa joined St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Luray, South Carolina, where she served on the Usher Board. She was employed for numberous years as a Domestic Technician with Groton Land Company.
Rosa is preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Melissa Williams. Our Heavenly Father called Rosa home to rest May 9, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Dedicated to her memory: a devoted family; her husband, Deacon Frank Brown, Sr.; two sons, Frank Brown, Jr. and Kelvin Parish Brown, of Luray, SC; daughter, Rosella (Ronald) Calloway of San Diego, CA; brother, Bennie Williams, of St. Mark Community Allendale, SC; two sisters, Bertie (Robert) Dunlap of Philadelphia, PA and Bessie McCain of Trenton, SC; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Blake, of Savannah, GA; Eva Matos, of Jersey City, NJ and Joann Taylor, of (St. Mark Community) Allendale, SC; four brothers-in-law, Isaiah Albright, Willie Taylor, and Carnell Grant, all of Jersey City, NJ, and Willie Joe Heyward; great-nephew, Eric Williams (caregiver); eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
